Responsibilities include triage, immunizations, chronic disease management, laboratory functions, recording medical information, direct patient care and education, and medical record documentation. Medical Assistants must hold an Associate’s Degree in Medical Assisting and have passed a certification exam (AAMA/NCCT) OR have completed an approved certificate program and have passed a certification exam.
