Richmond Area Health Center seeks a Physician (BC/BE in Family Medicine) with outstanding clinical and interpersonal skills. The health center, which was established in 1977, offers care of chronic and acute illnesses, physicals, laboratory services, substance use and mental health counseling, and community resource referrals. Each year, over 2,000 patients of all ages from Richmond, Gardiner, Litchfield, Dresden, Bowdoinham, and surrounding communities access services. You will have the support of mission-driven colleagues who appreciate the opportunity to support patients in rural communities by employing solution-focused interventions. Meet regularly with LCSW and LCPC colleagues to advance initiatives, participate in peer supervision activities, and to enhance your skill set by obtaining licensure as a drug and alcohol counselor (LADC). Expand your knowledge base with self-directed continuing education monies and time to attend external training opportunities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong skills in the treatment of behavioral health and substance use disorder utilizing evidence-based treatment.
