National Rural Health Association
A national membership organization that provides a forum for the exchange and dissemination of ideas, information, research and methods to improve rural health.

New England Rural Health Association
Established in 1997 with funding from the National Rural Health Association. A non-profit, membership-driven organization, it serves as a regional rural health advocate for the six New England states.

Parents as Teachers National Center
A national award-winning non-profit parent education and family support organization. The program’s core components consist of personal visits, group meetings, developmental screenings and linkages to a network of community resources.

Raising Readers
The Maine Libra Foundation created and funds Raising Readers, a statewide program that gives books, free of charge, to all children in Maine between the ages of birth and five. The program reaches the state’s 16 counties thanks to a successful collaboration between MaineHealth and EMHS, and the 1,200 healthcare providers that give books to their young patients.

Rape, Abuse, & Incest National Network (RAINN)
A Rape Crisis Center dedicated to helping victims of rape, incest, and sexual abuse work through the after-effects of assault.
