Amanda Adamen, PMHNP
Western Maine – This February, staff at both Bethel Family Health Center and Western Maine Family Health Center are happy to welcome Amanda Adamen, PMHNP, to their professional clinical healthcare teams.
Adamen earned her Master of Science degree in Nursing, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) from Rivier University. Previously, she earned her Associate’s degree in Nursing from the Maine College of Health Professions in Lewiston, as well as her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Maine at Augusta. Adamen’s wealth of mental healthcare experience includes time spent in a variety of settings, including both psychiatric centers and schools.
Adamen shares, “I believe that challenges and struggles are unique opportunities to grow, develop, and thrive as individuals. At the heart of my clinical practice is a deep commitment to offering non-judgmental, holistic, and patient-centered mental healthcare that supports people in reaching their fullest potential. By recognizing individual strengths and building upon natural supportive factors, my goal is to help people of all ages build healthy social connections and gain a sense of emotional wellness.”
Adamen joins the existing mission-driven, values-focused clinical care teams at both Bethel Family Health Center and Western Maine Family Health Center. Our clinicians offer medical and behavioral health services for patients of all ages and from all walks of life.

Jenna Martini, DO
Central Maine – This November, HealthReach staff in Strong, Livermore Falls, and Belgrade are happy to welcome Dr. Jenna Martini to their care teams.
Dr. Martini grew up in Peru, Maine. She earned her Doctorate degree, Doctor of Osteopathy, from Touro University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine in Vallejo, CA. She previously earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from The University of Vermont.
Dr. Martini has a wealth of experience across the healthcare field. After completing family medicine training, she worked as a primary care physician and education faculty in a remote region of Northern California. She recently completed a second residency training program in Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine through Maine-Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency in Augusta, Maine. Dr. Martini will bring these experiences to her position at HealthReach by providing osteopathic manipulative treatment to patients at three HealthReach locations.
Dr. Martini shares, “I believe in meeting people where they are at and working as a team to help achieve their goals. I consider each person as a whole – including body, mind, and spirit. Osteopathic treatments can help the body to function optimally so a person’s underlying health can shine through. It’s amazing to see how much a person’s life can improve in all areas when they feel healthy and well.”

Western Maine – This year, HealthReach Community Health Centers is happy to announce that it has received Let’s Go! 5-2-1-0 program recognition across eight of its local healthcare practices.
Let’s Go! 5-2-1-0 is a program focused on education around obesity and healthy living for primary care practice teams. The program provides materials to support “simple changes for better health, such as moving more, eating real food, drinking water, and getting adequate rest.”
HealthReach’s longstanding partnership with Let’s Go! 5-2-1-0 has had positive impacts on both HealthReach patients and their care teams. This year, HealthReach was recognized for excellence in obesity prevention. The sites recognized include Belgrade Regional Health Center, Bethel Family Health Center, Lovejoy Health Center (of Albion), Rangeley Family Medicine, Richmond Area Health Center, Sheepscot Valley Health Center (of Coopers Mills / Whitefield), Strong Area Health Center, and Western Maine Family Health Center (of Livermore Falls).

Western Maine – This June, the clinical team at HealthReach Community Health Centers is pleased to welcome the return of Cory Miller, PA, to its network of healthcare practices. Cory will provide Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatments and services to patients of HealthReach’s practices located in Bingham, Livermore Falls, and Richmond.
Cory completed his Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of New England in Portland. Previously, he received his Bachelor’s degree in Natural Applied Science – focusing on both Biology and Health & Human Illness – from the University of Southern Maine in Lewiston.
Cory brings extensive inpatient and outpatient experience caring for patients with substance use disorders. He treats patients experiencing Opioid Use Disorder, in addition to alcohol and stimulant use disorders. Alongside the HealthReach team, he will be supporting patients on their journey to recovery by providing treatment medications, behavioral health services, and additional support.
Cory shares, “I’m excited to be taking an evidence-based approach to my work with the community. In this position, I’ll be bringing previous experience from working in Maine – and also from working in Stockton, California, another area highly impacted by Substance Use Disorder. I had such a positive experience working with HealthReach in the past that I am thrilled at the opportunity to work here again. Maine is where my heart is, and I’m committed to helping the people that also call Maine ‘home’.”

WATERVILLE – As we look forward to the New Year, it is always good to reflect on the past – to learn what lessons we can, and to recognize success so it can be expanded upon. The staff of HealthReach Community Health Centers are pleased to celebrate many successes from 2022. Here are a few recognitions we are proud to share with our communities:
• HealthReach as an organization was once again recognized by the US Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA), as a Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH), as a Health Center Quality Leader, and for
Advancing Health Information Technology (HIT) for Quality.
• Dr. Amy Madden, HealthReach Medical Director, was recognized by Home Hope & Healing as their Physician of the Month for the month of May 2022. We are pleased to see Dr. Madden’s dedication to her patients and quality of care recognized by external partners.
• Rep. John “Jack” Ducharme III, HealthReach Board member, was recognized by the Maine Primary Care Association and received the MPCA 2022 President’s Award for his efforts to support community health centers across Maine. Jack rallied members of the Maine House of Representatives to improve the financial sustainability of rural healthcare.

LIVERMORE FALLS – This June, staff at Western Maine Family Health Center are pleased to welcome Ashly Jewell, Nurse Practitioner to the team. Ashly has more than eight years of nursing experience, over which time she has treated patients of all ages.
Ashly earned her Master of Science in Nursing, with a concentration as a Family Nurse Practitioner, as well as her Bachelor of Nursing degree from the University of Southern Maine in Portland. She has experience providing care in a variety of settings, from performing well-patient exams and wound care treatments, to child development treatments. Ashly interned at our Belgrade Regional Health Center in the summer of 2020. We are happy to welcome her back to the HealthReach team, and we know she will be a wonderful addition to the Livermore Falls community!
Ashly joins nurse practitioners Joline Sage, Cece Sullivan-Rohrbach, and Michelle Sweetser; licensed clinical social worker Tabitha Sagner; and psychiatric nurse practitioner Theresa Rush. Our clinicians offer medical and behavioral health services to patients of all ages. Our Western Maine practice has proudly served area residents and visitors from Livermore Falls, Canton, Fayette, Hartford, Jay, Livermore, Sumner, Chesterville, Farmington, New Sharon, and Wilton – and other nearby towns – since its founding in 1987.
