Strong Area Health & Dental Center welcomes Dental Hygienist, Lauren Enright

Strong – This May, staff at Strong Area Health & Dental Center are happy to welcome Lauren Enright, Dental Hygienist, to the team. Lauren earned her Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Maine, and is currently working to complete her Bachelor’s degree. Lauren draws from a solid background in Dental Clinic work, including as an Administrative Aide and Dental Assistant.

Lauren shares, “I am delighted to be joining such a kindhearted and down-to-earth community – one where I can provide dental hygiene care to patients of all ages. I am especially passionate about teaching children good oral health practices that will provide them with a lifetime of smiles. I look forward to meeting and developing lasting relationships with the patients of the greater Strong area!”

Lauren joins our other Dental Hygienist, Briana Beedy. Our dental clinicians offer quality dental health services for patients of all ages. Lauren will also be working alongside our other talented staff of healthcare professionals, all working at the same convenient location. Strong Area Health & Dental Center, founded in 2003, is a part of HealthReach Community Health Centers, a Federally Qualified Health Center consisting of twelve community health centers located across Central and Western Maine. Dedicated clinicians deliver high-quality healthcare – inclusive of behavioral health and dental services – to residents from 9 of Maine’s 16 counties. We provide complete care at a reasonable cost, and we are happy to assist you in understanding your insurance coverage. For primary care and behavioral health services, we accept Medicare, MaineCare, and most major insurance providers. Our Dental Centers are considered in-network with the following insurers: MaineCare, Delta Dental, Envolve, United Health Care, GEHA Connections, and Liberty Dental. In addition, an Affordable Care Program is available to both uninsured and underinsured residents. Assistance is available for applications to programs that help with the cost of your healthcare and medications, including Maine’s Health Insurance Marketplace.

HealthReach welcomes Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Cinder Savage

STRONG – This March, staff at Strong Area Health Center are happy to welcome Cinder Savage, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, to the team.

Cinder earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of New England. Previously, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation from the University of Maine at Farmington. Cinder brings a wealth of experience in caring for patients of all ages. She returns to HealthReach after having worked at our Madison health center.

Cinder shares, “I deeply believe in the dignity and worth of every human being. People want to feel well and to be happy – more and more, we are realizing these both take action and commitment to attain. I believe people have their own answers, but it is incredibly hard to think, learn, manage, or resolve the problems when living inside the issues in this busy world. Therapy can provide an objective view that helps to clarify, organize, and create goals to get you where you want to be.”

Cinder joins physician Ann Schwink; physician assistant Madelyn Besse; and nurse practitioners Jason Caudell and Nichole Yeaton. Our clinicians offer medical and behavioral health services for patients of all ages and from all walks of life.
Residents of Strong, Phillips, and nearby towns have enjoyed quality care at our Strong Area Health Center since its establishment in 1986.

HealthReach celebrates 2022 as a Year of Excellence, thanks its stellar team

WATERVILLE – As we look forward to the New Year, it is always good to reflect on the past – to learn what lessons we can, and to recognize success so it can be expanded upon. The staff of HealthReach Community Health Centers are pleased to celebrate many successes from 2022. Here are a few recognitions we are proud to share with our communities:
• HealthReach as an organization was once again recognized by the US Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA), as a Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH), as a Health Center Quality Leader, and for
Advancing Health Information Technology (HIT) for Quality.
• Dr. Amy Madden, HealthReach Medical Director, was recognized by Home Hope & Healing as their Physician of the Month for the month of May 2022. We are pleased to see Dr. Madden’s dedication to her patients and quality of care recognized by external partners.
• Rep. John “Jack” Ducharme III, HealthReach Board member, was recognized by the Maine Primary Care Association and received the MPCA 2022 President’s Award for his efforts to support community health centers across Maine. Jack rallied members of the Maine House of Representatives to improve the financial sustainability of rural healthcare.
